Test Zoom meeting

Whether you wish to hold or attend someone else's Zoom meeting, you can test your devices beforehand. In order to do so, you need to be signed in online. This post will list the steps for running a test of your camera and audio. It assumes that you have already created a Zoom account and downloaded the application onto your computer or smartphone. A benefit of this test: Your selection of a microphone and speaker will only apply to Zoom (and not other applications). Consequently, you can use this test to prepare for meetings and then continue with other tasks on your device before the meeting starts.

1. Sign in to Zoom.
2. Request a test meeting via this link: https://zoom.us/test
3. 'Join' button
4. 'Join' -- or -- 'Open Zoom meeting' -- or -- ''Launch meeting' button (a window should appear with a visual recording of you)
5. Select from dropdown lists of cameras, microphones and speakers (that you already have set up on your device).
