Popup Ads in Brave

Popup ad blockers in Brave are a security feature. You can tell whether they are enabled by a little icon in the URL window. The icon looks like a red block with an 'x' n the bottom right corner of a folder. Unfortunately, this feature can also can create inconveniences. For instance, they may prevent you from printing emails. This post illustrates how you can temporarily disable them. This method involves establishing a rule that applies for the browser.

Notice that, in these video instructions, you will not be requested to click on and disable the blocker from the icon in your URL. This is because, that method will add the site (from which you are disabling the security feature) as an exception to the current rule. This site will be added to a list of exception called 'Allowed to send pop-ups and use redirects' which may also be accessed via the same path illustrated in this video. So even if you use the instructions in this video but do not remove the site from the list, the exception will still apply.
