You can set tawk.to to send automatic email notifications to inform agents of different activities. The notifications can involve chat transcripts, new tickets, the submission of offline forms and a log of each missed chat.
Possible Recipients of Tawk.to Mail Notifications
Your choice of browser might give you a different experience.
- Everyone. This refers to all of the 'property members'
- Admin Only. This refers to property members with 'admin' roles
- Department selected in pre-chat form
- individual agent(s), selected by typing their email address and or selecting the name in the dropdown menu
- None. None of the property members will receive mail notifications. As you will see below, an option still remains to manually type in an email address (of property non-members).
To set up automatic Tawk.to mail notifications
- As pictured immediately below, select as follows. Administration > [Select the property] > Mail Notifications
- Go through the different activities. In the examples below, you may even select persons that are not members of the property. In the 'offline form' section, 'none' is selected so that none of the members will receive the notification. However, Agent Mary (a non-member of this particular property) will receive notifications. In the subsequent activity, 'missed chats', everyone means that all property members will receive notifications. Agent Mary's email address has been added so that, despite being a non-member, she will also receive notifications.
- Click 'Save
If you are unable to see the list of names or any other variance to this, consider using a different browser. Failing that, contact tawk.to directly about a potential bug. They have agents available 24/7 to respond.
