Group Discount Codes in Shopify

Discount codes target an entire group of qualifying customers. You can apply these discount codes to Shopify's default customer groups (like 'prospects' and 'repeat customers') or create custom customer groups beforeahand. 

How to Create Discount Codes in Shopify

• Log in to your Shopify admin account
• Enter the 'Customers' section in either of the following 2 ways
• Simultaneously enter the G and D keys on your keyboard   -- OR --
• Select 'discounts' (in the left column)

Create a new customer group discount code in Shopify

• 'Add discount' button
• In the 'conditions' field, select 'customer in group'

This discount applies offers a 5% discount to customers in a group. It can be used only 3 times, but once per email address for 1 month until May 16th. This code may be useful for friends share want to share the code, possibly in promotional strategies (like geared for brand awareness).

• Select a market segment or 'customer group' (either a default customer group or one that created previously)
